project overview
Planned Parenthood Interior and Exterior Murals | Midtown
Planned Parenthood’s new waiting room received a makeover by artists Kong Wee Pang and Siphne Sylve.
On the building’s exterior, a mural designed by Sylve welcomes patients in a multitude of different languages.
Inside, Pang designed multiple wall murals to create a calming and welcoming environment to put patients at ease and to enhance the overall appearance of the room. The repetition of the mark-making inspires a relaxing or meditative effect on the viewer and brings color to the space, while the flexible, flowing line-quality gives the viewer a sense of freedom and empowerment.
