UAC and the City of Memphis, in partnership with The Time Is Now Douglass Redevelopment Corporation, are seeking an artist to create a mural that speaks to the pride of the community, engages neighborhood youth, and pays tribute to Douglass’s rich Black history.

Selected artists will be commissioned to create designs only, which should be free-form and flowing to be printed on vinyl and applied to walls and glass on the interior of the Ed Rice CC.

NAI is a collaborative program for neighborhood residents, partners, organizers and artists to shape the creation of public art in their communities and shared spaces, while supporting healthy social connection and overall quality of life throughout Memphis.
