Sean Winfrey, a cinema artist with a concentration in animation, earned their degree from Memphis College of Art and brings a rich tapestry of artistry to the heart of Memphis. Born into a family of local artists, Sean's upbringing was steeped in creativity from an early age. As a teenager, Sean discovered a love for self-expression through spray paint and stencils, laying the foundation for a lifelong journey in the world of visual arts.
Sean's academic journey provided the technical foundation for their deep exploration of visual storytelling. Sean's artistic talents found a unique outlet in crafting music visuals for local Memphis musicians, bringing a visual dimension to their sonic narratives. Their recent solo exhibition, "Lines Apart," was a poignant exploration of grief, with the painting "Matter" earning a place in the prestigious Urban Arts Movable Collection.
For the past five years, Sean has been passionately involved in mentoring Memphis youth, sharing their knowledge and expertise in digital art, film, traditional painting, photography, and other 21st-century skills.
