about the artist
Neena Wang 王媛 is a multimedia artist based between Memphis and Los Angeles. Her work spans across painting, sculpture, performance, music, and digital art. Drawing from various background experiences in architecture, world history, film production, and museum curation, she creates work that visualizes unseen connections across time, space, and the sensory landscape. She received a BA in international relations from Washington University in St. Louis, and has exhibited work in Los Angeles, St. Louis, and Memphis. She has been an artist in residence at Paul Artspace (St. Louis), Crosstown Arts (Memphis), and Stove Works (Chattanooga), and has been the recipient of the Tri-Star Arts Current Art Fund and the Foundation for Contemporary Arts Grant.
