about the artist
My work deals with my interactions with the world and the transference of my observations, conversation, and relationships into narratives that are generally disguised by animals, nature, and childhood objects much in the same way that illustrators depict stories in children’s books. My work is riddled with metaphors, satire, symbology, and images that don’t directly tell the viewer my true thoughts or purpose, but instead allows them to wonder what all the cuteness means. I work traditionally in oil paint, gouache, and ink mediums. My work ranges from smaller ink drawings to larger scale oil paintings.
