Project Overview

District 3 Mural | Arthur Halle Stadium

Halle Park, a 31 acre parcel of land, is a gathering of fitness and wellness opportunities for the community. The park contains Arthur Halle stadium, two athletic fields, and four basketball courts. Each court is lit at night, which allows them to be highly used in the evening for different sports and social activities. The mural showcases the activities that can be seen taking place around the park, such as basketball, soccer, and other exercise. The work is shown on the face of the stadium and was completed by artist duo TWIN in 2015.

About the Artists

TWIN (Terry and Jerry Lynn)

Twins.jpg

Born and raised in the suburbs of Memphis, TN, the identical twin artists were highly influenced by the vibrant sounds of blues and jazz in making this mural, which carries into their art. While it’s not unusual for artists to join artistic forces to create an image, the two artists’ ability to work simultaneously on the same piece is remarkable, resulting in an image so succinct in technique and style that it cannot be distinguished as a collaboration by two artists.
