On Saturday, July 6th, UAC and AAPI Heritage Month Memphis concluded the exhibit "Between Heaven and Earth We Make Our Home," featuring the works of 12 Southern AAPI artists.

Event Highlights

The closing reception including an interactive art piece by Sharon Havelka for the audience using a wasp’s nest. The curator, Neena Wang, also brought a delicious cake.

The event, held at UAC's venue at 422 N Cleveland St., was a wonderful celebration of art and family. Partway through the programming, attendees sang Happy Birthday to Wang’s father, who was also present.

The event was a beautiful gathering that not only showcased the incredible talent of AAPI artists but also fostered meaningful conversations about cultural identity and artistic expression.
