Veda Reed is a landscape artist whose childhood in Oklahoma heavily influences her work. She is known for her sublime, luminous, large-scale paintings of skies, cloudscapes, and the cycles of the sun and moon. Reed earned her BFA from the Memphis College of Art and the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Throughout her long tenure as a faculty member and dean at MCA, she has participated in numerous exhibitions in museums and galleries across the US.
