Project Overview

Untitled (Bathroom Sculptures) | Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library

The stacked toilet paper sculptures offer an element of surprise and humor.

John Salvest has created a memorable series of sculptures situated throughout the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts. Located in the restrooms, each sculpture is constructed of an unexpected product made of cast aluminum and paint. The stacked toilet paper sculptures offer an element of surprise and humor to people who enter the restrooms on the three floors of the library. The work plays with our visual and tactile senses while simultaneously celebrating the mundane and everyday.
